Hugh Williams

Hugh is driven by passion for community and making a difference.  He is a published writer, business strategist, and proven communications, marketing, business development executive with over 35 years experience in business, government, and non-profit organizations large and small.

 

Hugh has significant Board experience in various Canadian charities and non-profits such as

•    Rotary Club of Ottawa: President 2023-24 
•    Chelsea Forest School: (2021 to 2023) Co-President / Chair
•    Be Reading: (2020 to current) Vice-Chair and Founding Director
•    Stonegate Community Health Centre: (2014 to 2020) Board member and Chair
•    Rexdale Community Health Centre: (2015 to 2020) Board Director
•    Kiwanis Club of Kingsway-Humber: (2018 to 2020) Board Secretary
•    Central Etobicoke Community Hub: (2016 to 2020) Board member and Founding Director 
•    Rotary Club of Etobicoke: President 2012-13, Board Director (from 2006 to 2016)
•    Team Unbreakable: Founding Board Member (2006-15). Interim Exec Director (2018-19)
•    Kiwanis Toronto / Kiwanis Toronto Foundation: Executive Director (2015-18)
 

Along with his work on this Board, Hugh also chairs two committees at the Rotary Club of West Ottawa (Membership and Fundraising / Events) while maintaining work with Be Reading and international literacy initiatives.
