

Pierre Claver
Pierre Claver is currently self-employed. He has more than 15 years of experience in business management and governance. He has held senior management positions notably in the hotel sector and sat on the boards of directors of seven institutions including a university and a commercial bank.

He has also worked as a tax specialist, accountant and certified auditor. His assets include more than forty consulting work with companies and international and local organizations. He is the founder of a management consulting firm and a microfinance company and specializes in supporting companies to develop their businesses, including young and female entrepreneurs. He holds certification from the International Finance Corporation to provide training and support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). He is passionate about the humanitarian aspect having carried out several consultation missions aimed at providing assistance to people in complex emergency situations including those induced by socio-economic conflicts. In this context, he worked on behalf of or in collaboration with the FAO, WFP, UNICEF and many other UN agencies.
Holder of a Master's degree in finance and a Bachelor's degree in economics obtained in Burundi, he obtained a master's degree in management and business administration (MBA) in 2022 from the TELFER management school at the University of Ottawa.
