About Us
EmpowerEd RC is a charitable organization dedicated to opening access to basic education and literacy to refugee children in the refugee camp of Nakivale, Uganda. Refugees, especially children, are among the most vulnerable individuals in the world, forced to leave everything behind and start anew in a foreign land. Witnessing school-aged kids with nothing to do is truly heart-wrenching. Unfortunately, there are only a few schools in the refugee camps, and the existing ones charge fees that parents cannot afford.

At EmpowerEd RC, we believe that education should be a right, not a privilege, and we strive to create safe and nurturing learning environments to empower these young minds with knowledge and hope for a brighter future.
We envision refugees achieving self-reliance, excelling in the job market, and breaking free from the cycle of poverty. We envision refugee children flourishing with dignity, creativity, and becoming equal contributors to society. Together, we empower lives and build a future of hope and possibilities.

Our mission is to support refugee children by providing the financial means they need to have access to basic education and literacy. We aim to cover the cost of tuition fees, school uniforms, clean water and essential nutritional supplements, empowering these young minds with the tools they need to thrive and succeed.
